  1. Then click Remove Designee on the Primary Designees contact card:

  2. You will be asked to confirm that you wish to remove your Primary Designee.  If you wish to proceed, click Yes.  If you are having second thoughts or want to abort this action, click No:

  3. After confirming your choice to remove your Primary Designee by clicking Yes above, you will be taken back to your My Contacts page where you will see no Primary Designee is now designated on your account:

  4. At this time, you can select another Primary Designee.

  5. While still on the My Contacts page, click the +Add Primary Designee button

You can also click the Add Primary Designee button underneath the My Contacts button on the left side panel:

  7. Then, click the Next button to advance to the next screen where you will input your 4 Digit Designee Invite Code and click Send Invite:

NoteDO NOT SHARE THIS CODE WITH ANYONE EXCEPT YOUR

          PROPOSED DESIGNEE!

  8. You will then receive a confirmation screen informing you that the invite has been sent successfully:

  9. After returning to the main page, clicking My Contacts on the left side panel will display your choice of Designee and the status of your invitation.  The image below shows the status of a Designee invite that has been accepted:

Additional Tips:

  • Choose Wisely: Select someone who is responsible, reliable, and understands your wishes.

  • Have a Conversation: Inform your Primary Designee about their role, why you trust them, and what you expect them to do.

  • Provide Context: Ensure they understand the importance of secure access to your documents and how it aligns with your end-of-life planning.

Assigning a Primary Designee is a proactive step to safeguard your plans, protect your legacy, and provide peace of mind for both you and your loved ones.
