Do I need to upload documents to use DocuGuardian?

Not at all. While you can upload documents, it’s not required.

DocuGuardian offers secure, easy-to-use fields where you can simply enter important information, like account details, contacts, instructions, and personal notes, directly into the platform. This way, your loved ones have everything they need, even if you don’t upload a single file.

To enter information without uploading related documents:

  1. Log in to your DocuGuardian account.

  2. At the top right of the screen, select the Upload button:

  1. In the new screen, Select the Vault Category (e.g., Legal & Estate, Financial, Insurance, Property & Real Estate, Personal, Other Documents, Videos, Photos):

  1. Then, select the Document Type (e.g. Insurance was selected as a category with a medical insurance policy as a document type):

  1. Complete all fields in the form as shown below (Note: fields will vary based on type of Vault Category and Document Type selected):

  1. Select Save File:

  1. Once the upload is complete, a summary screen will appear:

  1. Selecting Close will return you to the dashboard.

  2. Selecting Modify will take you to the file within your vault for further edits.  Please see modify document instructions here.
